Update regarding ND Executive Orders from State Health Officer/Governor
Post date: Nov 16, 2020 8:12:34 PM
Team,
Below is information that you will all be receiving via Paycom shortly. As people are walking in the facility please gently remind them to wear a mask as they are moving throughout the facility. Once they are to their destination in the facility they are able to remove their mask if they are able to ensure proper distancing (we have spaced our Life Center and Group Fitness studios so people are able to exercise without a mask if they chose to do so). We cannot kick anyone out, ask for proof of exceptions, etc. for refusing to wear one so it's not worth getting into a verbal argument. If someone refuses, let them go. If you receive comments from individuals that are worried about people not wearing a mask let them know that all we can do is ask that someone wears a mask. Due to the exceptions in the Order issued we cannot discriminate based on any of the exceptions included in the Order.
SIGN at Entry Door: Pursuant to the Executive Orders from the State Health Officer and Governor, please wear a face covering when entering, exiting or moving throughout the building and unable to properly physically distance.
SOCIAL MEDIA: The Y and Family Wellness are open and continue operating under all the ND Smart Restart guidelines for distancing, cleaning and other practices for the safety of our members, staff and community and we will continue to help you reach your health and wellness goals. Please wear a face covering when entering, exiting or moving throughout the building and unable to properly physically distance. Thank you for your continued support. Our loyal members are the reason we have been able to serve the community for over 50 years and will continue to do so.
Program info: Our Youth Volleyball Program currently underway and Itty Bitty Sports are paused as of Monday, November 16,2020, through December 13, 2020, pursuant to the Governor’s latest Executive Order. We will communicate with you in the near future regarding the potential of a continuation of this session and/or program credits. Swim lessons continue as normal. Winter sports registration will open as scheduled.
Staff Notes: All current staff wellness checks and practices remain in place. Regarding face coverings and our members: There are exceptions to face coverings for medical, mental health, age 4 and under, disability, and unsafe situations or exercise. We can inform and encourage, but per the order, we can’t discriminate, nor remove anyone or ask for proof for exceptions - We can thank members for wearing their mask, cleaning, distancing and helping and give gentle reminders to wear face coverings per the above.
All exercise areas are physically distanced and there are exceptions in the State Order and the CDC for exertion and activity so masks while exercising are an individual choice in those areas.
