Blue Cross Blue Shield of ND Insurance Reimbursement

Hey all,

Amanda asked me to pass on that any member that is registered for the Blue Cross Blue Shield of ND insurance reimbursement program will not be receiving their reimbursements for their visits of October, November or December.  They will receive a reimbursement in October for their September visits.  New joins can still enroll in the reimbursement program through the normal process, but please inform them that they will not start receiving their reimbursements until their visits from January are counted and will see the first one in February 2020.

The reason for them not reimbursing during those months is for bookkeeping purposes.  To compensate their card holders they raised the monthly reimbursement rate from what it was ($20/month) to approximately $27/month so if they are maintaining their visits year round they still wind up getting the same amount back.  

This is a Blue Cross Blue Shield of ND policy and is totally out of our control.  If a member has any concerns about the policy empathize with them and hear them out and do your best to explain what was described above.  After that you can direct them to contact Blue Cross Blue Shield with any further concerns.
