MIGHTY FAMILIES
MIGHTY Families is a health intervention program based on simple truth: health begins at home. We support families in their efforts to build five pillars for a healthy family home: plan together, prepare together, portion together, play together, and praise together. MIGHTY Families meets once a week for six weeks at the Y. While parents meet and cover a variety of topics, kids ages 8-12 are encouraged to attend the Y’s Kids Fitness class. Child Watch is available for kids under age 8. Fee is $20, fee assistance available for those who qualify. Participating families receive a free 6 week household membership to the Y and are encouraged to use the Y outside of session times.
Contact Lindsey Peterson through e-mail or 255-1525 ext. 156 for more information or to register for upcoming sessions. Next session starts February 7th.
