Post date: Nov 09, 2021 3:13:56 PM
Team,
Effective today, the Family Splash Center will be closing at 7 PM on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in November due to staffing issues. The Kerr pool will remain open until 9 PM. There will be a brief window for Open Swim in the FSC following lessons from 6:30-7:00 PM. There will also be open swim for children in the Kerr pool from 7:00-8:45 PM if they meet the following requirements:
Children aged 0-5 must have an adult physically in the water with them.
Children aged 6-7 have an adult on the pool deck.
Children 8-9 have an adult in the building.
Any child regardless of age that needs a floatation device needs to have an adult physically in the water with them.
Lap swimmers must be 13 or older. Lap lanes are for lap swimming only. Children under the age of 13 must pass a swim test with a lifeguard.
We have a free lifeguard certification training this week that will hopefully yield some additional staff for our aquatics department. If this is the case, we will extend the FSC hours back to normal. If anyone complains about the FSC being closed let them know that we are hiring and if they are interested in becoming a lifeguard or knows someone that would give them Kyler Alme's contact information (701-751-9714 or kyler.alme@bismarckymca.org).
