Staff Shirts & Jackets

Dress Code Guidelines by Department

All Staff:  Staff who have earned an ilovemyjob T-Shirt may wear it any day of the week with jeans, black pants, or kahki pants.  Annual campaign T-Shirts may be worn on Fridays unless otherwise specified during the campaign season.  Staff who wear assigned T-Shirts may also wear a long sleeve white or black shirt underneath the T-Shirt if they wish.

Administration:  Administrative employees must wear business casual clothing.  This includes all program directors when program appropriate attire is not required.  On Fridays, they may wear YMCA clothing purchased from a Y-USA approved vendor and jeans.

Aquatics:  Lifeguards must wear their red lifeguard staff t-shirt with a swimsuit underneath.  Swim Instructors must wear a swimsuit according to the dress code guidelines and may wear a rash guard shirt over their swimsuit if they wish.

Child Watch:  Employees must wear the blue staff t-shirt in the color provided and jeans.  They may wear any YMCA clothing purchased from a Y-USA approved vendor on Fridays. 

YDC:  Employees must wear the blue staff t-shirt in the color provided and jeans.  All Full Time YDC staff may substitute this option with business casual clothing if they choose.  They may wear any YMCA clothing purchased from a Y-USA approved vendor on Fridays.

Group Fitness:  Employees must wear fitness attire appropriate to the job function.  YMCA clothing is not provided to Group Fitness Instructors. 

Housekeeping & Maintenance:  Employees must wear the grey staff t-shirt in the color provided and jeans.  They may wear the staff t-shirt in alternate colors on Fridays.

Life Center:  Fitness Associates must wear the red staff t-shirt in the color provided and appropriate fitness bottoms.  Personal Trainers must wear the red staff performance t-shirt provided and appropriate fitness bottoms. 

Member Services:  Member Service Representatives must wear the grey staff polo shirt in the color provided and black or khaki pants.  They may wear any YMCA clothing purchased from a Y-USA approved vendor and jeans on Fridays. Supervisors on Duty must wear the blue staff polo shirt in the color provided and black or khaki pants.  They may wear any YMCA clothing purchased from a Y-USA approved vendor and jeans on Fridays.

Sports:  Employees must wear the green staff t-shirt in the color provided and appropriate fitness/sport bottoms.

Staff Jackets:  All staff members may purchase and wear any of the jackets or 1/4 zip pullover styles and colors shown on the Northern Trophy & Silk Screen YMCA & FW clothing webpage:

Staff will pay with a credit card online and can choose to have items shipped to their home for an additional fee or pick them up at the Northern Trophy store located at 3327 Memorial Hwy, Mandan.  

These jacket options may be worn at any time, as long as their name tag is worn on the outermost layer of clothing.  If staff members would like to wear any jacket or sweatshirt during work hours other than the ones available on the Northern Trophy & Silk Screen clothing website, they may do so on Fridays only.
