Push it for Pink

Push it for Pink is a fundraiser for Livestrong that we will be hosting at both the YMCA and Family Wellness on October 18th from open to close.  Jenna will be decorating 3 pieces of cardio equipment Monday 10/15 at each site that are dedicated to the event.  Monday-Wednesday people can still use these three pieces of equipment, we are decorating them early to raise awareness.  On the 18th, we will be asking for donations for those that use those three pieces of equipment.  

There will be a sign up sheet at the Fitness Associate desk for people to sign up for 15 minute time slots throughout the day. There will be more information on the event available for people there as well.  

Donations will be made at the Member Services Desk only.  Jenna will have special donations sheets ready for us by 10/15 in case people want to donate before the actual event.  There will be an envelope/cash bag in the safe specifically for donations that we will need to put them in.  There will be a cash bag in the safe for cash donations from members.  If they want to make a donation with a card we can do that through the one time fee in Daxko.  Please print a copy of the receipt and put it in the cash bag in the safe for all credit/debit card transactions.  

Lastly, (and most importantly) we have the opportunity to change up our wardrobe for a few days and rock a sweet pink breast cancer awareness shirt from 10/15-10/18 to generate awareness for the event.  The shirts are $6.25 a piece.  If you want to get in on this please email Alysha with your shirt size by 8:00 AM Monday 10/8 so I can get the order put in.  I will be putting a balance due on everyone that orders a shirt's account so they will be stopping by to pay for them at the desk.  There will be an option to donate any amount to the Livestrong program at that time so please ask everyone if they would like to donate to the Livestrong program when they pay for their shirt.  This can be added on as a one time fee and paid with either cash or card through Daxko.  For staff please just include the donation in your close out if they pay in cash.
