Hey all,
Just wanted to clarify the definition between the Basic Orientation and the Personal Training program. We have a Wellness Engagement Specialist (Kara Colon) who is here to help drive our Personal Training program and bring in some new concepts and ideas to help us grow that area of what we do.
Basic Orientation:
2 session of introducing participant to the strength training machines with a fitness associate. One day is usually upper body equipment and the next is lower body equipment. They instruct the participant on how to adjust the equipment to fit their body properly as well as show them how to adjust the weight they are lifting. They can also show the participant how to use the cardio equipment if the participant requests them to. Again, we should not be referring to this program as "Training". This program is an instructional opportunity to ensure that our members know how to properly and safely use the equipment.
Personal Training:
Personal Training is one on one customized training with a Certified Personal Trainer based on the participants goals. Whether the participant's goal is to lose weight, gain muscle, flexibility or stability, etc. the trainers develops the programs for each particular client they are working with to help them reach their goal.
If you would like any further explanation of any of the above programs please let me know.
