LiveSTRONG at the YMCA Elevator Speech

The Missouri Valley Family YMCA has been selected by Y-USA and the LIVESTRONG® Foundation to be an official LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA facility.  ​

LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is a small-group, 12 week program that helps adult cancer survivors reclaim their health and well-being following a cancer diagnosis. Through this program YMCAs are creating communities among cancer survivors and guiding them through safe physical activity, helping them build supportive relationships, and reducing stress – leading to an improved quality of life.

With LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, Ys are helping cancer survivors in their communities achieve the physical activity, form supportive relationships, and acquire the stress reduction they need to improve their quality of life. 

The Missouri Valley Family YMCA is committed to creating an environment which allows cancer survivors the opportunity to build strength, health, wellness, relationships, and community in the interest to provide survivors with the tools, connections, and environment to reclaim their zest for life.
