Family Splash Center Capacity Procedures

Team,

Please review the information below shared to us by the Aquatics team. We have some larger signs on order that we will be able to put at the desk if an when we ever hit capacity.

*Please note this information is for staff, it is not necessary to share specifics with non-staff members*

Capacity in the FSC is based on the number of lifeguards in the space.  Typically the ratios should be about 25-30 patrons per guard.

If the FSC is over what the ratio should be, they will notify MSD regarding the issue and ask them to post the sign, as well as inform swimmers coming in that the FSC is at capacity.

The guards will also post signage on the door to the pool from the family locker room and between the pools.

Families may swim in the Kerr until space opens up in the FSC for their family.

Lifeguards will take names and the number of people in each group, and notify them when there is room in FSC for their group.  (it is NOT one in one out, sometimes we end up OVER capacity due to group sizes and need to drop down in order to make room within the reasonable numbers).
