Gift Card Selling and Redeeming Process

Hey all,

Below are instructions for how to sell and redeem gift cards. Please note that these cards are only valid at our location.  They will not be able to redeem them at any other YMCA/Family Wellness other than the Y in Bismarck or the Family Wellness in Mandan. 

Selling gift cards

- Look up the purchasers Daxko account.  If they are not in the system they need to be entered as a non member.  The reason they need to be entered in as a non member if they are not redeeming the certificate themselves is we need to have a record of who purchased the certificate should they accidentally lose it.

- Click the blue $0.00 under balance due

- Next to the Add One-Time Fees button there is an arrow pointing downward, click this arrow and then select Purchase Gift Card

- Enter the amount they would like to put on the Gift Card in the Gift Card Amount field.

- Scan the bar code on the back of the gift card. 

- Take payment for the gift card like you would take payment for any other transaction. 

Redeeming gift cards

- Look up individual redeeming gift card in Daxko. If they have not been here before you can enter them in as a non-member. Or if they would like to sign up a a membership create an account based on the membership they would like to sign up for. 

- Once the profile has been created click the $0.00 under Balance Due. 

- Click the downward pointing arrow next to One Time Fees

- Select redeem gift card.

- The balance of that gift card will then be put on the individuals account and can be redeemed at the payment screen.
